Where should I plug in the detector?
The ideal installation height depends on the specific gas you want to monitor most closely. Since Propane and Butane (LPG) are heavier than air, we recommend plugging it into an outlet 12-40 inches (0.3-1m) above the floor.
If you are primarily concerned with Natural Gas (Methane) and Carbon Monoxide (which are lighter than or similar to air), a higher wall outlet is preferable. Avoid corners or areas with blocked airflow.
What specific combustible gases does it detect?
In addition to Smoke and Carbon Monoxide (CO), our 5-in-1 detector is equipped to accurately detect a wide range of combustible household gases, including Natural Gas, Propane, Methane, Butane, and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG).
How long does the backup battery last during a power outage?
The built-in rechargeable battery is designed as a secondary emergency safeguard. During a power outage, it typically provides several hours (approx. 4-8 hours) of essential monitoring, ensuring your family remains protected during brief electrical faults. Please note that this is an AC plug-in device (100V-240V), and the battery is strictly for temporary backup use.
What is the lifespan of the high-precision sensors?
This device utilizes high-precision electrochemical (for CO) and photoelectric (for smoke) sensors. Under normal operating environments (14°F to 122°F), these core sensors typically have an effective lifespan of 5 to 7 years. For optimal safety, we recommend replacing the unit once the sensors reach the end of their operational life.
How often should I test the device?
To ensure the real-time sensors and the ≥85dB alarm are functioning correctly, we highly recommend pressing the "TEST" button at least once a month to perform a system self-check.
